Slow and steady wins the race, is something that slow people say, shortly before they lose the race.

Speeding tickets

I don't know how many times I've heard somebody say something like: "the only reason that I got caught, was because there was a speed trap with a ghost car".  The fact that you were actually speeding may have also had something to do with it.

Always leave them wanting more

My mom always told me that it's better to leave early and have folks wish you had stayed longer, than to stay too long and have folks wish that you had left sooner.

Not much.  They have tiny hands, and no opposable thumbs.

If a tree falls...

After a seven month absence, I thought that I'd try a comeback, but more along the lines of Conrad's deep thoughts.  I call them Conradisms 101.  Some of them may be too deep, too religious, or too pointed... doesn't bother me.  Although, I thought that I'd start out with some easier/lighter ones, to get going.

If a tree falls in the forest... perfectly natural.  Don't worry about it.
